Emirates, Etihad cancel flights to Hong Kong due to storm
UAE’s Etihad Airways and Emirates Airline have cancelled to and from Hong Kong today as Typhoon Mangkhut makes landfall in the region.
Etihad’s inbound flights have been cancelled for the day and the airline says weather conditions will be monitored before resuming any flights between the two cities.
Meanwhile, Emirates told ARN News that it’s flights to and from Guangzhou, Cebu and Clark are also affected and are likely to experience delays until September 18.
Earlier, Hong Kong Airport Authority announced that 889 flights have been cancelled because of the storm.
