NBA’s Durant apologises for India comment

Kevin Durant has apologised for the comments he made about India in a recent interview.

The NBA player spent time in the subcontinent last month to help grow basketball around the world.

The Golden State Warriors forward said in the interview that he had no expectations going to India but when he arrived he saw “a country that’s 20 years behind in terms of knowledge and experience”.

Durant tweeted that his words were “taken out of context” and that he should’ve worded them better.
