Dubai and Abu Dhabi top 'safest cities' in the region list

The Middle East’s safest cities are Dubai and Abu Dhabi who jointly hold 73rd place - that's according to Mercer's annual quality of living index 2019.

The annual quality of living index looks at various factors including political and social, economic, cultural, medical and health, schools and education, public services and housing and environment.

Elsewhere at the 231st place, Damascus ranked the least safe city, both in the Middle East and the world.

Recently award-winning American comedian Steve Harvey spoke about his love for Dubai.

While speaking at the Dubai Lynx festival, Harvey also went on praise the high safety and security levels in the country.

He’s termed it his favourite city and has described being in the UAE as a ‘humbling experience’.
