Donald Trump mugshot released following arrest

Former US President Donald Trump made his return to X, previously known as Twitter, by posting his mugshot taken from the Fulton County Jail, in Georgia, and asking followers for donations.

Trump, who is facing charges stemming from his efforts to reverse the 2020 election results, used his social media platform to ask for contributions to "Save America".

The mug shot, which has gone viral, was released to the public shortly after Trump was released from Fulton County jail after paying a $200,000 (AED734,607) bail bond.

Dozens of supporters gathered at the facility, during the former president’s 20-minute stay, to try and get a glimpse of the businessman-turned-politician, who left via private jet.

Official records described Trump as a white male, standing 6ft 3 inches tall and weighing 215lbs (97kg).

Trump has now been arrested four times in the last five months in a criminal case.
