Swiss women demand gender equality laws

Thousands of women across Switzerland have hit the streets.

They want the government to accelerate the pace of gender equality in their country. 

Similar protests were held in Switzerland 28 years ago, when close to half a million women joined a nationwide strike.

Women in Switzerland earn on average 20% less than men
