Abu Dhabi airport shuts down city check-in terminal

If you’re flying from Abu Dhabi International Airport anytime soon, take note because one of its remote check-in terminals in the city is now closed.

The facility in Al Zahiya area is the one that has been affected.

Passengers could previously drop their bags and get their boarding passes issued there.

Travellers are now being advised to either check-in directly at the airport or use the kiosk at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre, which is open daily.

The airport hasn’t stated a reason for the closure, but in a statement, it said: “The closure of the terminal falls in line with Abu Dhabi International Airport’s commitment to providing passengers with a streamlined and comfortable experience that allows passengers departing from the airport easy access to their flights and onward destinations.”
