Starting today, the price of PCR tests will be reduced to AED 40 across all medical facilities in the UAE capital.

The Department of Health - Abu Dhabi (DOH) made the announcement on its official twitter handle.

According to the current COVID-19 safety guidelines in Abu Dhabi, access to public places in the capital will be restricted to those with the Al Hosn Green Pass.

People must get a negative PCR test once every 14 days to maintain the green status on the Al Hosn app.

Last week Abu Dhabi announced that the border checks and EDE scanners will no longer be in place at border checkpoints.

The authority said the "decision comes in line with the start of the recovery phase of the COVID-19 pandemic, supported by the community’s commitment to preventive measures".
