Abu Dhabi sets up fast-track court for minor financial disputes

A new fast-track court has been established in Abu Dhabi to handle minor financial disputes.

'The Small Claims Court' will look into civil, commercial and labour disputes in addition to salary claims of less than AED 500,000.

It will finalise judgements within 15 days of the date of registration of the case.

His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Presidential Affairs, and President of Abu Dhabi Judicial Department (ADJD), has signed a decision establishing the new court.

A number of fast-track courts have been set up in the UAE in the past as part of efforts to expedite the judicial process.
