Abu Dhabi shuts down restaurant over food safety violations

A restaurant in Abu Dhabi has been ordered to shut down for flouting food safety regulations repeatedly. 

In a statement posted on social media, the Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority (Adafsa) said Evergreen Vegetarian Restaurant - Branch 3 failed to meet food safety protocols despite repeated warnings.

The closure order will remain in place until the restaurant meets all health and safety guidelines. 

The authority has urged the public to report any food violation by calling Abu Dhabi Government toll free number 800555.
