Abu Dhabi's Yas Mall has reopened after it was evacuated earlier this morning when an alarm went off.

In a tweet, the Abu Dhabi Media Office apologised for the inconvenience, adding that safety of visitors and employees was top priority.

Earlier, several shoppers took to social media to report that the mall was being evacuated, with "priority given to pregnant women".

Police had cordoned off parts of Yas Island on Tuesday morning following the incident.
