The UAE is among three new countries that have been added to the UK's red list.

In a Tweet, Secretary of State for Transport, Grant Shapps said the UAE, Burundi and Rwanda have been added to the travel ban list.

He explained that people who have been in or transited through these countries will be denied entry, except British, Irish and third country nationals with residence rights who must self-isolate for ten days at home.

The changes come into effect on Friday, January 29 at 1:00 pm.
