COVID-19: UAE announces 705 cases; 494 recoveries

The UAE has confirmed 705 new cases of COVID-19, taking the overall tally in the country to 73,471.

According to the Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP), as many as 82,333 additional tests have been carried out across the Emirates.

Meanwhile, the number of recoveries has gone up to 63,652 after another 494 people received the all-clear.

The ministry has also confirmed the death of one patient, bringing the total number of fatalities to 388.

This means that there are currently 9,431 active cases in the country.
