COVID-19: Woman in Dubai fined AED 10,000 for hosting party

A woman has been fined AED 10,000 by Dubai Police for organising a party in violation of the government's COVID-19 precautionary measures.

Officials said the gathering, which was held at her home, disregarded the rules on social distancing and wearing masks.

They have also imposed a fined of AED 5,000 on all those who attended the party, including the members of a musical band.

Authorities have once again called on the public to comply with the regulations and to report violators via the (Police Eye) Dubai Police app or by calling 901.
