The crime rate in Ajman has dropped significantly, thanks to stricter security measures and more awareness campaigns.

Police said there has been a 20 per cent decline in serious crimes in the year 2019, when compared to the previous year.

They explained this was mainly down to their smart surveillance and security patrolling programmes.

The emirate had also made CCTV cameras mandatory in all residential and commercial establishments.
