Dubai government entities have made significant progress in making their digital channels more accessible for people of determination.

That's according to the results of an annual assessment, which saw as many as 11 government departments achieve full compliance with the rating criteria for smart applications.

The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), Dubai Police, DEWA and Dubai Municipality also scored a 100 per cent conformity rate for their websites.

The assessment is parts of Dubai's efforts to create an inclusive society where people of determination are provided with equal opportunities.

His Highness Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Higher Committee for the Protection of the Rights of People of Determination, commended government entities for enhancing their websites and smart applications.

"Our ratios comply with international standards, which reflect the keenness of government entities to support the creation of a truly inclusive society for people of determination," said Sheikh Mansoor.

While several government entities accomplished a compliance rate of 90 per cent or higher in the accessibility assessment of their digital channels, a few others will be working to enhance the accessibility of their platforms for people of determination.
