Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) have resumed operations at some stations on Dubai Metro's Red and Green Line after heavy rain disrupted services.

In an update on their social media channels, RTA said operations from centrepoint Station to GGICO Station, from BurJuman Station to World Trade Centre, and from Jabal Ali to Expo 2020 Station on the Red line have resumed.

On the Green line, services from Etisalat station to Abu Hail and from Creek station to Al Ras have restarted.

Free shuttle bus services will be provided at specific stations, while passengers have been advised to check RTA official channels for updates to help plan ahead.

Earlier, the Roads and Transport Authority announced disruption to services on both lines to carry out "maintenance work" after torrential rain hit the UAE.

Taking to their official social media channels, the authority said it was "to ensure operations and services can continue".
