One of the UK’s most wanted criminals has been arrested by Dubai Police.

Michael Paul Moogan, who had been on the run for eight years, was wanted for his alleged role in a "large scale drug trafficking plot" in the UK.

He was nabbed in Dubai shortly after receiving a Red notice from the Interpol.

The investigation team was able to identify the 35-year-old suspect although he had used a different name and nationality to enter the country.

The UK’s National Crime Agency thanked Dubai Police for their good coordination, high professionalism, and swift action in arresting Moogan.
