Dubai has launched a major initiative to train teachers on the uses of Artificial Intelligence and its applications.
His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai's Crown Prince and Chairman of the Executive Council of Dubai, said that the programme aims to equip teachers with the knowledge and vision to nurture learners who can make the most of technological advancements.
The top 10 teachers who effectively integrate AI into their teaching practices will be honoured with awards totalling AED 1 million during the next edition of the AI Retreat on April 29, 2025.
The programme will provide teachers in Dubai with best-in-class training on using advanced applications and integrating AI tools to automate tasks and personalise learning experiences.
It will combine practical and online training and include regular assessments to ensure the best outcomes and to achieve the desired long-term goals.
The initiative, which is overseen by the Dubai Centre for Artificial Intelligence in collaboration with the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA), aligns with the goals of the Dubai Universal Blueprint for Artificial Intelligence.
"We aspire to make Dubai’s schools the best educational institutions in the world at leveraging AI solutions. Teachers are the backbone of our nation’s progress and development and are key enablers in realising Dubai’s vision for the future," said Sheikh Hamdan.
In line with Dubai's annual plan to accelerate the adoption of AI applications, we announce today the launch of a programme to upskill all teachers in Dubai in artificial intelligence. The top 10 teachers who effectively integrate AI into their teaching practices will be honoured…
