Dubai's Roads & Transport Authority (RTA) will mark the 10th anniversary of its Public Transport Day initiative with 11-day celebration.

It'll run from November 1 to 11 under the theme: 'Better transport for a better life'.

The events will include a treasure hunt, 2.5 km and 5 km races along the Dubai Water Canal promenade, raffle draws for gold bars and honours for the most frequent riders.

The celebrations will coincide with the 14th anniversary of the RTA and the 5th anniversary of the Dubai Tram.

"The success of the initiative is reflected in improved public awareness of RTA’s modern public transit means such as the metro, tram, buses and marine transport as well as the integration accomplished between these modes," said Mattar Al Tayer, Director-General and Chairman of the Board of Executive Directors of RTA.
