Fire breaks out in Dubai's Al Quoz area

A massive fire has broken out in a warehouse storing "highly flammable chemical materials" in Dubai's Al Quoz area.

Pictures and videos of large plumes of black smoke have been published by Twitter users. 

According to Dubai Civil Defence's statement, rescue teams received reports of the blaze at 11:09 am on Sunday and arrived at the scene four minutes later. 

At 11:16 am, teams from Al Barsha and Emirates Martyrs stations were dispatched to offer further assistance due to the severity of the fire.

No injuries have been reported in the incident.
