Free parking in Dubai for a day

Motorists will not have to pay for parking across most public spaces in Dubai on Friday, September 29 - the public holiday to mark the birthday of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

All paid zones, except for multi-level terminals will be free of charge on Friday and the meters will be reactivated on Saturday, September 30.

The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) said its service provider centres will be closed on Friday and will resume work on Saturday.

All customer happiness centres will also be closed on Friday, but the smart customer happiness centres at Umm Ramool, Deira, Al Barsha, Al Kafaf and the RTA Head Office will continue to operate around the clock.

Public transport timings in Dubai will also be adjusted during the upcoming holiday with Dubai Metro services on both the red and green lines running from 05:00 am to 01:00 am, and the public bus network operating from 05:00 am to 12:30 am.

Dubai Tram services will run from 06:00 am to 01:00 am.

Water Bus:

Dubai Marina (BM1) Marina Mall - Marina Walk (and vice versa) from 12:00 (midday) to 12:11 am, Marina Promenade - Marina Mall from 04:11 pm to 11:45 pm, Marina Terrace - Marina Walk from 04:08 pm to 11:52 pm. Full line from 04:08 pm to 11:28 pm.

Water Taxi:

Marina Mall – Bluewaters (BM3) from 04:00 pm to 11:40 pm, and on demand from 03:00 pm to 11:00 pm. Customers have to make a prior booking.

Abra:

Dubai Old Souq - Baniyas (CR3) from 10:00 am to 11:20 pm, Al Fahidi - Sabkha (CR4) from 09:30 am to 11:40 pm, Al Fahidi to Deira Old Souq (CR5) from 09:30 am to 11:15 pm, Baniyas - Seef (CR6) from 10:00 am to 11:50 pm, Dubai Festival City - Dubai Creek Harbor (CR9) from 04:00 pm to 11:20 pm, Al Jaddaf - Dubai Festival City (BM2) from 08:00 am to 11:50 pm, Al Marfa Souq - Dubai Old Souq (CR12) from 04:20 pm to 10:50 pm, Al Marfa Souq - Deira Old Souq (CR13) from 04:05 pm to 10:35 pm, and the tourist service from the Sheikh Zayed Road Station (TR6) from 04:00 pm to 10:15 pm.

Dubai Ferry:
