Gates hails UAE anti-disease efforts

Bill Gates has praised the UAE's efforts to battle disease around the world.

In a phone call with His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, the Microsoft founder underlined their successful anti-disease partnership.

The two also talked about further steps they can take towards battling contagious diseases. 

Last month, Gates praised the UAE's efforts to battle polio.

He said the world’s historic progress to end the virus would not be possible without the strong commitment of partners like His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces
