The 30th Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) World Congress and Exhibition, a leading platform for shaping the future of mobility, is now underway at the Dubai World Trade Centre.

His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Second Deputy Ruler of Dubai, opened the event, which is being held in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region for the first time.

Under the theme 'Mobility Empowered by Intelligent Transport Systems', the congress is set to draw a record-breaking 20,000 participants from 100 nations.

Running from September 16-20, it features over 800 speakers, including top experts and decision-makers in sustainable mobility, and will host 200 sessions and 500 exhibitors.

The opening ceremony welcomed senior officials and global experts, representing sectors from vehicle manufacturing to telecommunications.

The congress will focus on four key areas: Urban Mobility, Innovation in Transport and Logistics, Sustainable Mobility, and Autonomous Mobility.

Panels will tackle a range of topics including regulatory challenges, smart infrastructure, big data, AI, cybersecurity, and sustainable city solutions.

Highlights include discussions on automated transport across various domains, national connectivity, and innovations in sustainable mobility.

The event also boasts an advanced exhibition space of 15,000 square metres, showcasing cutting-edge technologies. New this year is the ‘Start-up Village,’ providing emerging entrepreneurs a platform to present their innovations and network with industry leaders.
