The road linking the emirates of Fujairah and Ras Al Khaimah has been re-named as 'Sharea'a Al Shuhada', which translates into 'Martyrs Street'. It follows the directives of His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Fujairah, and His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah. The move is in memory of the servicemen who died in the line of duty during ‘Operation Restoring Hope' in Yemen. It is also a tribute to the acts of courage and sacrifice displayed by the martyrs.
