Motorists are being advised to drive cautiously as a blanket of fog is expected across parts of the UAE.

The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has issued a fog alert until 9:00 am on Thursday.

They said large parts of the capital will have less than 1,000 meters of horizontal visibility.

Abu Dhabi Police also reduced the speed limit on key roads in the UAE capital.

Drivers have been urged "to follow changing speed limits displayed on electronic information boards".
