New Acting Director-General appointed for Dubai Municipality

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has appointed Marwan bin Ghalita as the Acting Director-General of Dubai Municipality.

In a message on the platform X, Sheikh Mohammed said that Bin Ghalita, who currently serves as the Director-General of the Dubai Land Department, will oversee Dubai Municipality in addition to his other responsibilities.

His Highness highlighted Bin Ghalita's leadership, noting his strong communication with the public, his ability to facilitate services and his collaborative approach with other institutions.

He also expressed his gratitude to outgoing Director General, Dawood Al Hajri, thanking him for his dedicated service to Dubai Municipality in recent years.

"These years have seen transformative changes in the city, and Al Hajri played a key role in contributing to these developments. I wish him continued success in his future endeavours," Sheikh Mohammed said.

He also acknowledged Mattar Al Tayer for his oversight of various key government institutions in Dubai, including the municipality, the housing and land departments, among others.

Sheikh Mohammed added that Al Tayer's work in organisational and strategic planning has set the stage for these institutions to enter a new phase.
