Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) will begin issuing only e-tickets for vehicle violations.

The authority clarified that the move is in line with Dubai Government’s Paperless Strategy and is part of its commitment to providing smart services to customers.

E-tickets for violations will now be sent via e-mail or text messages with all details related to the offense included in the electronic message.

A new feature has also been added to the RTA’s website whereby motorists can see an image of their vehicle on a map as proof of where the violation was committed.
