Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum has been appointed the Chairman of Expo City Dubai Authority.

Meanwhile, Reem Al Hashemy will step in as Chief Executive Officer of Expo City Dubai Authority.

The decision comes following a resolution by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Rule of Dubai.

In June, Sheikh Mohammed announced the launch of Expo City Dubai and tasked Expo City Dubai Authority with its management.

The Authority will seek to boost efforts to reinforce Dubai's position as a leading destination for global events, and will be aligned with the Emirate's strategic vision to attract investments, companies and institutions from across the world.
