The crime rate in this Dubai area has dropped

More than AED 705 million worth of cheque-related disputes were resolved at Al Muraqqabat Police Station last year.

That’s according to Dubai Police, who say the area has witnessed a minor drop in the rate of serious crimes being reported.

The number of road accidents reported at the police station also dropped from 255 in 2017 to 217 last year.

In total, the crime rate in the jurisdiction area fell by 2% last year compared to statistics from the year before.

Al Muraqqabat Police Station's efforts in organising awareness campaigns on the dangers of speeding, jaywalking, and safe driving has also been praised.
