This Ramadan's traditional iftaar cannons are all set for use.

That's according to Dubai Police, who say a single shot will be fired at the time of iftar every day during the holy month.

Meanwhile two shots will be fired to mark the start of Ramadan and the commencement of Eid.

The canons will be fired at Burj Khalifa, Madinat Jumeirah, Dubai City Walk and the Eid prayer grounds at Mankhool and Al Baraha.
