Tremors felt in parts of UAE after quake strikes Iran

Tremors were felt in parts of the UAE after a 5.0-magnitude earthquake struck southern Iran early Thursday.

Taking to social media, several residents in Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman and Umm Al Quwain said they felt the tremors for little less than a minute.

The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) confirmed that the 5.0-magnitude earthquake hit south of Iran at 03:15 am (local time).
