UAE allocates AED 20 million for Ramadan projects in Syria

His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler's Representative in Al Dhafra Region and Chairman of the Emirates Red Crescent (ERC) has ordered the provision of AED 20 million to implement Ramadan projects in Syria.

He directed the ERC to cater to the needs of people in Syria during the Holy Month, especially in areas affected by the recent earthquake.

Dr. Hamdan Musallam Al Mazrouei, Chairman of the ERC's Board of Directors, said that they have drafted a detailed plan to expand their beneficiary database for Ramadan programmes in Syria.

The projects will be implemented in coordination with the UAE’s embassy in Damascus and the Syrian Red Crescent.
