UAE citizens advised not to travel to India

WAM

The UAE has called on its citizens to refrain from travelling to India.

That's according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, which added that the decision followed the precautionary measures set by the Indian government.

Late Wednesday, India cancelled all tourist visas and e-visas granted on or before March 11.

The UAE Embassy in New Delhi has also requested its citizens to either register on the ministry's 'Tawajudi' service or contact the embassy directly for further assistance.
