Abu Dhabi Crown Prince arrives in Ethiopia for World Without Hunger Conference

His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, arrived in Ethiopia's capital Addis Ababa for the UAE’s delegation at the World Without Hunger Conference.

The event, which brings together global leaders and experts, aims to advance sustainable practices and innovative technologies for tackling global food insecurity and  solutions to the growing challenge.

Upon arrival at Addis Ababa Bole International Airport, Sheikh Khaled was warmly received by Dr. Abiy Ahmed, Prime Minister of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia. An official reception ceremony followed, featuring the national anthems of both the UAE and Ethiopia, after which Sheikh Khaled and Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed reviewed a guard of honor.

Sheikh Khaled, who is representing His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, is leading a high-level delegation at the World Without Hunger Conference.

Discussions will focus on sustainable agricultural practices, advanced technologies, and policy frameworks to ensure a food-secure future for all.

The UAE delegation accompanying Sheikh Khaled includes prominent figures such as Sheikh Shakhboot bin Nahyan Al Nahyan, Minister of State; Reem Al Hashimy, Minister of State for International Cooperation; Mohamed Salem Al Rashdi, UAE Ambassador to Ethiopia; and Omran Anwar Sharaf Al Hashemi, Assistant Foreign Minister for Advanced Sciences and Technology.

As part of the UAE’s commitment to global food security, the nation has made significant contributions to humanitarian and developmental efforts, particularly in Africa, aimed at improving food access and agricultural sustainability.

The World Without Hunger Conference represents a key opportunity for nations to unite in their efforts to address one of the most pressing challenges. With the leadership of figures like Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed, the UAE continues to play a vital role in fostering international cooperation for global development and sustainability.
