Air corridor mapping and regulatory framework for the UAE's flying taxis has begun and is set to be defined within the next two years, according to the General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA).
The routes will connect the flying taxis to key international airports and landmarks within the UAE, the GCAA said.
The authority is working in partnership with Advanced Technology Research Council (ATRC) entities—Technology Innovation Institute (TII) and ASPIRE on the project to redefine airspace regulations.
The new air corridors will offer passenger and transport solutions, improving connectivity while reducing the burden placed on road networks.
