The foreign ministers of the UAE and Japan have discussed ways to stop the escalation between the Palestinian and Israeli sides and protect civilians caught in the conflict.
His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE Minister of Foreign Affairs, discussed with his Japanese counterpart, Yōko Kamikawa, the repercussions of the unfolding crisis, especially the humanitarian and security situation.
During a telephone call, Sheikh Abdullah stressed that all current international and regional efforts should focus on immediately stopping the violence, exercising the utmost restraint, and protecting civilians.
The two ministers also reviewed the UAE-Japan bilateral relations and their determination to further strengthen them.
They discussed the UAE's preparations to host COP28 and Japan's participation in this major global event.
