UAE national under investigation for violating Lebanon travel ban

WAM

The UAE's Attorney-General, Dr. Hamad Saif Al Shamsi, has launched an immediate investigation into a UAE citizen who travelled to Lebanon in violation of a travel ban.

The individual, along with his family, bypassed the restrictions by transiting through another country, putting their safety at risk.

Dr. Al Shamsi stressed the importance of following travel advisories issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which aim to protect Emiratis from potential dangers in certain areas.

Violating these advisories can lead to imprisonment, fines, or both, in accordance with UAE law.
