UAE prepares polling stations for FNC election

Preparations are underway for the UAE’s Federal National Council (FNC) election, which will be held in October.

There will be 39 polling stations across the country.

More than 337,000 Emiratis are eligible to vote this year- that’s an increase of more than 50 per cent compared to the previous poll in 2015.

At least half of the seats have been reserved for women this time.

The exact number will be announced before the start of the nomination process.
