President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan attended the tenth session of the Arab-Chinese Cooperation Forum in Beijing on Thursday, stressing the need for Arab-Chinese cooperation, alongside international efforts, to achieve an immediate ceasefire in Gaza.

During his keynote address, the President also reaffirmed the UAE's commitment to working with its Arab neighbours to support and enhance Arab-Chinese cooperation to the benefit of all sides.

His Highness highlighted that the meeting comes at a time when the world needs to unite and show solidarity, taking place amidst escalating tensions in the Middle East due to the ongoing conflict in the Gaza Strip, leading to dire humanitarian conditions for its residents.

This situation, he said, underscored the importance of an Arab-Chinese partnership, alongside international efforts, to achieve an immediate ceasefire, provide protection for Gaza’s residents, and ensure the flow of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip.

His Highness also highlighted the urgent need to pursue a just and comprehensive peace in the region based on the two-state solution.

Sheikh Mohamed also stressed the meeting represented the distinguished relations between China and Arab countries and their mutual commitment to elevating cooperation to greater heights.

Posting on social media platform X, the UAE President said, “the UAE’s policy is based on strengthening international frameworks in a way that achieves common interests and meets the aspirations of our peoples towards prosperity and well-being."
