UAE President meets Serbian counterpart in Belgrade

The UAE's President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan held talks with his Serbian counterpart Aleksandar Vucic in Belgrade on Thursday.

The two leaders reviewed existing areas of cooperation between their countries and explored opportunities for further collaboration, especially in renewable energy, agriculture, food security, technology, artificial intelligence and trade.

UAE-Serbia bilateral ties have witnessed significant growth in recent years, and received a further boost with the signing of a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Agreement in September 2022.

Sheikh Mohamed and Vucic also reviewed the latest regional and international developments and emphasised the importance of settling disputes in a peaceful manner.

The two leaders called for dialogue and communication to achieve de-escalation in the Western Balkans and promote stability and security in the region.
