The UAE has recorded a significant decrease in the concentration of major air pollutants between February and the end of April.
During those three months, nitrogen dioxide (NO2) levels across the country dropped 30 per cent on average, with some areas reporting a fall of over 70 per cent.
The decline in air pollution was mainly due to reduced vehicle movement and restrictions on transportation.
Air quality levels in the country are closely monitored by the Ministry of Climate Change and Environment (MOCCAE), through its 52 stations and A.I. lab.
