The foreign ministers of UAE and Turkey met to discuss the outcomes of a visit recently made by His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces to Turkey.
Common issues in the region were discussed, and UAE's Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, stressed the importance of working together.
Khalifa Shaheen Al Marar, the Minister of State, was also present at the meeting.
Parallelly, the two ministers signed an agreement between the Anwar Gargash Diplomatic Academy and Diplomacy Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkey.
In line with Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu's visit, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed, and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai met with the official.
During these meetings, the Turkish minister praised the UAE's progress across various sectors and the advanced infrastructure that has made it an attractive hub for investment, according to national media WAM.
Importantly, Cavusoglu also highlighted the importance of boosting cooperation between Turkey and the UAE in various fields including trade and economy.
In November 2021, Sheikh Mohamed was invited by Turkish President RT Erdogan. Following the visit, the UAE said it would establish a $10 billion investment fund in Turkey.
