UN praises UAE's emergency response systems

The UAE has been praised for implementing disaster risk reduction across the world.

A top UN official said the emirates plays an important role in the area both locally and internationally.

Sujit Mohanty, Chief of the UN Office for Disaster Risk Reduction, UNISDR, Regional Office for Arab States, said the county has built strong foundations for its state institutions to tackle any potential risks and threats.

He also said the UAE government has ensured that infrastructure development projects are available for other countries around the world.
