Dubai's Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) has issued a clarification on the end of the academic term for private schools after a news website reported it was set to be June 26.

In response to the publication's post on Twitter, the education regulatory body wrote: "Not the case".

They urged "parents to refer to their school’s approved academic calendar for details on the end of the academic year".

Meanwhile, the authority clarified that the "dates for Eid Al Adha holidays will be announced by the federal government".

The publication said due to the predicted Eid Al Adha holidays, some schools were set to end the academic term on June 26.

Eid Al Adha is predicted to fall at the end of June, with the official date set to be announced by the moon-sighting committee.
