World leaders offer condolences to UAE President on passing of Sheikh Saeed

UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has received phone calls from a number of heads of state offering condolences on the passing of his brother Sheikh Saeed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

Among those offering their sympathies were King Abdullah II bin Al Hussein of Jordan, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, Tunisian President Kais Saied, Somalia President Hassan Sheikh Mahmoud, Turkish leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Israel President Isaac Herzog, Iraqi President Mohammad Shia Al-Sudani, Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati and Transitional President of Chad Mahamat Idriss Deby Itno.

Sheikh Mohamed thanked the leaders for their sincere sentiments towards the nation, its leadership and its people. 

The late Sheikh Saeed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, who was Abu Dhabi Ruler’s Representative, was suffering from a health problem, national news agency WAM reported.
