Year of 50: UAE students to send postcards to space

WAM

UAE school children's vision of how their country will shape over the next 50 years will be blasted off into space via Jeff Bezos' Blue Origin rockets.

The 'Postcards to Space' project, which will see 10,000 students write their dreams of the future, aims to boost interest in the future of space exploration.

The initiative's been launched by Emirates Post alongside 'Club For the Future' - a private foundation established by Jeff Bezos' Blue Origin, the Mohammed bin Rashid Space Centre and Azur X cyber technology company.

The postcards will be transported by Emirates Post to the USA and will then be placed onboard Blue Origin rockets.

"Flown to Space" will be stamped on each postcard before being returned to the students as a special souvenir on the occasion of the UAE’s Golden Jubilee.
