Beckham frenzy hits Mall Of The Emirates

David Beckham has officially opened the new Adidas store at Mall of the Emirates. The football icon was greeted by thousands of fans, lining both the first and second floor outside the shop to catch a glimpse of their idol. Dubai Eye were granted a meet and greet with Beckham and he thanked the station for their welcome in store. 30 lucky instagram fans also got to pose for photos and autographs with the former Manchester United midfielder, including Rayyan Lodhi, who was celebrating his 13th birthday. He said: "He's an amazing guy. He's my idol and the way he played football was amazing. "It was unbelievable to meet him and even better on my birthday." Beckham has been a Adidas ambassador since the start of his playing days and the relationship continues despite his retirement from football in May 2013. Throughout a glittering career he represented clubs such as Manchester United, Real Madrid, LA Galaxy, AC Milan and Paris Saint Germain.
