In Serie A, Internazionale’s perfect start to the season came to an abrupt halt as Fiorentina thrashed them 4-1 at the San Siro. Josip Iličić opened the scoring after just four minutes, blasting a penalty past Samir Handanovic, after the goalkeeper tripped Nikola Kalinic, who added a second and then a third soon after. Things soon got worse for the Nerazzuri when Miranda saw red after just half an hour. Mauro Icardi pulled one back for the hosts on the hour mark, but in was in vein as Kalinic slotted home for his hat-trick 15 minutes later, to send La Viola to the top of the table for the first time since 1999. Elsewhere yesterday, AC Milan lost 1-0 at Genoa and Lazio won 2-1 at Verona. Crystal Palace moved up to sixth in the EPL, thanks to a 1-0 win at newly-promoted Watford. Yohan Cabaye scored the only goal of the game from the penalty spot, after substitute Wilfried Zaha was tripped by Allan Nyon just inside the area.
