Everton have denied Arsenal the chance to go third in the English Premier League (EPL).

They beat the Gunners 1-0 at Goodison Park on Sunday night thanks to a goal from Phil Jagielka, who was called into the starting XI as a replacement for Michael Keane minutes before kick-off.

Bernard, Richarlison and Gylfi Sigurdsson all had chances to double the Toffees lead but failed to covert.

The result lifts Everton to ninth in the points table.
