Organisers of the Abu Dhabi HSBC Golf Championship confirmed on Wednesday that world No1 Jordan Spieth will make his Middle East debut at the event on January 21-24, 2016. American Spieth has enjoyed a remarkable 2015, winning his first Major at The US Masters in April before becoming the youngest winner of the the US Open since Bobby Jones in 1923. The 22-year-old completed his year by winning the Tour Championship which clinched the 2015 FedEx Cup and with it a cheque for $10million. Joining Spieth for the 11th edition of the Abu Dhabi HSBC Golf Championship will be World No3 Rory McIlroy, four-time runner-up in the UAE capital, world No5 Rickie Fowler and Henrik Stenon, the world No7, who has played in all 10 previous editions.
